I've decided to start a blog on my site in order to answer some of the common questions that I receive from both new and existing clients. Feel free to send me a message if there is a topic you would like to see discussed further and we can dive into it together! I am always happy to have conversation about my favorite topic: horses, in any way shape or form :) I figured I would start with a somewhat brief series of posts for people to get to know me a little better. Many of my clients know I am a bit of an open book about things but this gives some of you who don't know me personally yet, the opportunity to learn a little bit more about me.

Those who know me know that I am a bit of a stickler for doing things ethically and have a strong desire to help everyone I am able to in any way possible. That's why I've priced myself lower than other massage therapists in the area and have been known to go a little above and beyond when helping my clients. I have helped many clients and non-clients who ask me with anything from a feed recommendation to how to blanket them. This doesn't come from any training I received during my certifications, this comes from my history with horses. When telling anyone about my services and what I do, I always highlight it with I am a horseman first and foremost. Yes, I love bodywork and helping to make your horse feel better during our session and for a time afterwards, but my goal is always in the long-term comfort and happiness of every animal I touch or handle.

My entire childhood became enveloped in a love for horses from a very early age, starting with a plastic pony that my stepdad brought me in the hospital when I was very sick. Growing up in an area where there weren't any around though, this meant I had a few toy horses and a few books that featured horses in one way or another. When I was maybe 4 or 5, my parents drove me and my 2 older sisters to a horseback riding stable that was a ways away from our house and I had my first ride on a horse after their lesson. It was a simple little walk around an arena but I was hooked. It was all downhill from there and my parents didn't realize I had found my life's passion already.
